Malem Elementary School

Malem Elementary School is the elementary school serving the Malem community of Kosrae. Currently Malem Elementary enrolls students from early childhood education to 9th grade.

We can see from this picture of a Malem Elementary School building in 1962 that MES has changed much in the past 50 years, while retaining some of its cultural origins with its thatched roof patio.
